Couples Day Tees Up Again for "Crush Cancer"

The Social League celebrated another day of fun and friendship at Isabella on September 5th by hosting a second Couples Day outing & luncheon to raise money for the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Center Institute in Little Rock, Arkansas' only cancer research and treatment facility.  Members and guests anted up to win prizes on designated holes.  Ladies’ closest to the Pin on Pinta #8 was Vikki Powell, being only 12" from the hole. Men's closest to the Pin on Nina #8 was Bob Moore, being 9' 8.5" from the hole.  Both winners contributed their winnings to the league's "Crush Cancer" fundraising pot.  Participants also had the opportunity to play all Par 5's as Par 3's, with the goal of achieving a birdie.  Of 43 participants, Mary Fisher was the only one to birdie one of the 4 holes.  Congratulations to all our winners.  Combined with our Spring Couples Day, a total of $1,365 was raised to contribute to the 2018 "Crush Cancer" drive.  Many thanks to all members and friends who participated.
